Dear Future Husband

Dear Future Husband,

I'm not sure I've met you yet, or maybe I have and I just don't know it. But before we get married, there's a few things I want you to know.

  1. My name is Chloe. And that name was given to me for a reason. I go by Chloe, Clo, and sweetheart. I don't like nicknames, unless it's relevant to something funny that happened in my life.
  2. I'm not an easy person. I'm an emotional rollercoaster. I have my good days and my bad days. And although I'm not always the easiest person to deal with, I expect you to love me on my good days and my bad days. Because if you're going to love me and marry me, I want you to love all of me, and not only a few parts of me.
  3. I'm a child at heart. I make rash decisions. I like to watch Disney movies when I'm sad. I eat ice cream for breakfast. I cry at cute scenes in shows. I like to watch Netflix after a long day at work and talk until we fall asleep. When mother nature visits, you can never go wrong surprising me with reeses, flowers, shopping, or just spending time with me and let me cry and then laugh and just be there even though I'm emotional.
  4. Before you even think about proposing to me, you must consult my parents. Chivalry is not dead, nor will it ever be in our marriage. I'm old fashioned. I love it when a guy opens the door for me, but I also like driving on occasion too. Take me on dates, but let me take you on dates too. I know it's a "guys job" take take care of his lady, but I want to take care of you too.
  5. I want our marriage to stay just that. I don't want to divorce, no matter how hard things get. I will love you on your good days and your bad days. I will always remember to be understanding and forgiving, because I know you'll do the same. We'll be there for each other. We will be there for our children and raise them to be as understanding and loving as you are. They will have your eyes and my smile. My smile may be crooked, but I know that you'll love that the most.
  6. Lastly, I can't wait to meet you. I know our love will conquer this world and everything it throws at us. Our foundation will be family, and we will never forget that. Our focus will be love. Love each other, love others, and to not be judgmental. I know that God will send you to me at the perfect time, as he will send me to you at the perfect time, as well. I may not know you yet, or I might know you already. Either way, I can't wait to meet you, and to spend the rest of my life cuddled up on the right side of the bed, falling asleep to the sweet sound of a cute movie or TV show.
Dear Future Husband,

I cannot wait to meet you. I love you.

Love,
Chloe.
